The Ancestral Migration Paths of the Paternal Lines of Brashears, Vaughn and Curtis are identical over the past 100,000 years. The Brashears' immigrated to America in ca 1635 from Bouches-du-Rhône, Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France via the Isle of Thanet Parish, Kent County, England. The Vaughn's arrived in Virginia ca 1700 from Plâs Thomas, Pentre-brain, Dudleston, Ellesmere, Shropshire, West Midlands, England. The Curtis' Family set sail on the "Ship Safety" in London on 10 Aug 1635 and were from Nazeing, Essex, England.  It is quite a coincidence that three of my grandfathers not only shared the same Haplogroup R but all subsequent mutations as well. Haplogroup R originated in Central Asia. Most descendants belong to one of two major lineages. They are present at low frequencies across Central Asia, South Asia, and Europe.
